A J Krick

As we all know, there are already a few data centers in the county, including one located in the Scott District in Vint Hill. Future applications for data centers need to be taken on a case-by-case basis. As a board member, I will use the leverage of their desire to be located in the county to mitigate noise, overhead lines, or any disruption to the beautiful agricultural landscape of Fauquier County. I understand the potential revenue from data centers could be beneficial to keep taxes low for our residents and help fund the school system, and know that if we don’t generate revenue somehow, we will be left behind the surrounding counties who will be paying more for teachers, first responders, and law enforcement. More importantly we need to understand the negatives that would impact our community. I am against overhead power lines that would destroy our scenic community. My goal is to make sure the agricultural integrity and farmland in the county is upheld for future generations of my family to enjoy.
