Town Council Member Jay Heroux’s Business Ties to Amazon Prompt Data Center Vote Recusal Request
Residents of Warrenton Ward 5 are requesting that their Council member, Jay Heroux, recuse himself from Town Council discussions and votes on the proposed Amazon Data Center.
Heroux is VP of a small tech firm, Definitive Logic, that has business ties to Amazon Web Services and partners with Amazon on projects. These ties present a clear conflict of interest under the Warrenton Charter and Code of Ethics.
Residents of Warrenton Ward 5 who would like to sign the letter requesting Heroux to recuse himself should email eric@jumpcode.com.
All residents of Warrenton and Fauquier County are encouraged to email Mr. Heroux if you have concerns about this conflict of interest: jheroux@warrentonva.gov.
Read and download the open recusal request letter to Warrenton residents, Town Officials and local media here.

The Town Council may vote on the Amazon data center as soon as Tuesday January 10 -- just 11 days from the date of this posting.
