Candidate For Mayor, Renard Carlos, Makes Statement On Amazon Data Center

Renard Carlos is running for Mayor of Warrenton, against the incumbent Nevill Carter. The election is November 8.  All indications are that the mayor is one of the leading advocates for the data center.  In contrast, here is Renard Carlos's statement, in his campaign brochure:

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE PROPOSED AMAZON DATA CENTER?

"I believe it's important to allow the SUP to work its way through the process of review with the Planning Commission. There are still questions that remain unanswered.

 "However, after a close review of the information available, conversations with subject matter experts, and listening to my constituents, I am extremely skeptical that this can ever be the right fit for Warrenton, especially in the proposed location"
