The community has spoken with one voice that we are opposed to this proposal.  As elected officials, we hope you will listen to your constituents.

Dr. John Lyver, a retired NASA scientist, has updated his noise analysis for the proposed Amazon data center on Blackwell Road. Dr. Lyver's analysis was updated based on the Town's 12/16/22 Zoning Determination Letter and finds that the Amazon data center will violate the Town noise ordinance virtually across the board, probably around the clock, potentially 365 days/year, at all 10 locations where Dr. Lyver analyzed the noise.

In light of this clear and compelling conflict of interest in violation of our Town Charter, we urge Mr. Heroux to recuse himself from the upcoming Town Council vote on the AWS data center.

The Amazon data center application now moves to the Town Council, where a vote may occur on Jan 10.

The Warrenton Town Council voted to approve a resolution intending to hold a public hearing on the Amazon data center SUP – regardless of the outcome of the Planning Commission meeting on December 20

Dominion has scheduled a December 13 work session with Warrenton Town Council. Have a look at proposed power tower routes for the Amazon data center project that they plan to present.
